Ascent of Lenin Peak (7134 m)

Located in the Trans-Alai mountain range, in the Pamir region, and on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Lenin peak reaches 7134 m in height. In fact, with clear skies, you can see this imposing mass from many kilometers away.

First of all, it is one of the most accessible 7,000 m peaks in the world. The ascent route is not very technical but it requires experience in high mountain, a good physical condition and also an adequate acclimatization.

Lenin Peak, originally called Mount Kaufmann, is the second highest peak of the Pamir and the second highest peak of the former Soviet Union. Its north face drops impressively into the Alay valley while the south face is formed by gradual snow slopes.

Lenin Peak is usually the starting point for the Snow Leopard program. It is also the most important mountain for alpine skiers. However, the ascent route presents no particular technical difficulties. The weather in this area of Pamir is generally good, although its high altitude, causes low temperatures, possible storms, and possible landslides.

In Asia for Adventure we take care of everything so that you can make your first 7000. On your own or with a guide, with more or less comfort in the camps, we have available several programs for all budgets. Ask for information and take off towards high altitude mountaineering!
