Poppy fields
Beautiful photos of poppy fields were recently published in all social networks.
For several days, a wonderful flowering field delighted the eyes of tourists and locals.
Poppies usually bloom throughout the month of May everywhere Bishkek. This flowering begins in the fields, and then gently moves to the foothills of the hills in the vicinity of the capital. Hundreds of people travel outside the city to gaze at the bright red poppy fields stretching for hundreds of meters.
In Kyrgyzstan there are about 70 species of this flower, Papaverales rhoeas (Latin name), which grows in all regions of the country.
The flowering of the poppy is very short: it can be observed only for two to three weeks.
