Do you want to climb your first 5000 meters mountain? Do you have some experience climbing mountains and good physical condition? We propose you to climb with us Yukhin peak (5130 meters) is a beautiful mountain of 5000 meters which is located a short distance from Camp 1 (4400 meters) of Lenin peak. On this route there are no steep ice slopes or very complicated rocky parts, so no additional equipment other than the usual mountain equipment will be necessary. Most of the time you will walk on a thin layer of snow. The slope in some parts of the route is about 20-30° maximum, so most people are capable of tackling it. Just be careful with proper acclimatization and you will return home with your certificate of having climbed your first 5000m peak!

Hiking boots, hydration equipment, and emergency food. Hat, appropriate trekking backpack, sleeping bag (rental upon request), knife type multi-tool, appropriate clothing for the weather, first aid kit, mountain glasses, sun cream, stomach and head medication. We recommend to get in the hands of an expert advisor before coming to make the first trekking of your life or high mountain ascent of your life.

They can be guesthouses, local people's houses, yurts (traditional Kyrgyz nomad tents) or tents.

There are times when we have to give up for our safety, this is the main and most important objective that we transmit to our guides. No. Kyrgyzstan does not require a visa for Spanish citizens for stays of less than 60 days. For other EEC and Latin American citizens, please consult. Necessary requirements. There is no mandatory vaccination for Spaniards in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian countries. Mandatory yellow fever vaccine for endemic countries. It is always advisable to have tetanus, hepatitis and typhoid vaccines.

In Kyrgyzstan all selected accommodations have a special charm, selected for some reason always. We will use the establishments indicated in the program or of the same category.

In Kyrgyzstan you can have all different climates on the same day. In July and August it is hot and dry, but in the mountains the weather is unpredictable. Outside the central summer months always bring warm clothes. It usually snows from November onwards.

Kyrgyzstan and the surrounding countries are very safe, politically stable and have a low rate of common crime.

Normally from Europe you fly via Istanbul. There are no direct flights from Spain. The price is around 450 euros round trip, and the total transfer time is about 12 hours.

Itinerary

Day 1. Airport - Osh

Arrival to the city of Osh. Departure to Base Camp. Our guide will meet you at the airport. Breakfast before departure to BC in a local cafe. The road to BC runs along one of the most beautiful roads in the world: the Pamir Highway, it takes about 4 to 5 hours (about 300 km). The road offers breathtaking views of the mountains. BC is at 3,600 meters. Lunch. Accommodation in the tents. A suggestion, if you feel like walking to the nearby lakes. Dinner.

Day 2. Base Camp. Acclimatization.

Today it is not necessary to get up early. We will dedicate time to acclimatization and oxygenate the body. After breakfast we will go to Petrovskiy pass. From here we can see the panorama of the whole valley. We will return to BC just in time for lunch. Without forcing, you can walk to the waterfall near the Onion Medow. In the evening dinner.

Day 3. Ginger Katya Peak (4131)
Acclimatization. No special skills or equipment are needed for this ascent. You will only need boots and trekking poles. From the summit we will enjoy incredible views of the turquoise lakes of the Achik-Tash River. Descent to base camp. In the evening, after the ascent we will have a comforting dinner.

Day 4 Base Camp - Camp 1 (4,200 m)

We start the long awaited ascent to our first 5000! If you do not want to carry your backpack yourself, there is the option of carrying it on horseback. The price is 3 dollars per 1 kg approximately, price to be confirmed. We recommend carrying a small backpack with warm clothes, snacks and water. We will cross the Puteshestvenniki pass (meaning travelers) and see the Lenin glacier. Lenin glacier. Later the trail continues along a long ridge. The journey will take between 4 and 8 hours for 12 km, depending on your physical condition. Arrival at C1. Overnight in tents.

Day 5. Yukhin Peak (5,130 m)- Camp 1
Peak day! Today we set off for Yukhin Peak. There is no particularly technical passage. We will slowly gain altitude until finally our goal is below our feet. The views of the valley are... you'll see! Remember to save energy for the descent, which will be again at C1. Dinner and night in tents. We are celebrating, although the real celebration will be at the BC.

Day 6. Camp 1 - Base Camp
Last breakfast on the mountain we say goodbye to the Yukhin, our first 5000 is always special. The way back is not easy due to the distance. We take a last look at the Lenin Glacier? After the Onion Medow we arrive at BC. We take a shower and can now relax and realize what has really happened! A moment of relaxation and immense happiness. Time to dream about the next mountaineering goal! We organize the equipment for the return the next day. Farewell dinner.

Day 7. Transfer to Osh
After breakfast we say goodbye to the team, new friends and the big mountains. We pack up the gear and head back to Osh. If time permits, we will take a walk around the city to visit this historic Silk Road city: Suleiman-Too, the famous Osh Bazaar and buy some souvenirs. Dinner in the city and overnight at the hotel are not included in the price.
