Ancestor Days 2022

November 7 and 8, have been officially declared Ancestor History and Remembrance Days in Kyrgyzstan. The government signed a corresponding decree to make it official. The document says: “To objectively inform and pay tribute to the positive changes that occurred in the lives of the Kyrgyz during the Soviet period of development, and it is also necessary to remember the tragic pages of history.”

In order to objective historical information about the national liberation uprising and the tragic events of 1916, with the February and October revolutions of 1917, the lessons and legacy of the Soviet period of development, the consequences of the political repressions of the 20th century, and also to pay tribute to the memory of ancestors it has been decided to declare November 7 and 8 as an annual celebration of “Days of History and Memory of Ancestors”.
